- Based in Melbourne - Farm at Buffalo River, North East Victoria - Born 1952 - Recently appointed as a senior consultant with IBM after completing a 20 year career in IT education at RMIT as well as running own IT consulting business for a further 12 years. Work in Melbourne at Southgate but hope to retire in the next 5-6 years and spend a lot more time farming. I am motivated to bring my farm back into production. I only have 150 trees but most of them nearly 60 years old. I started a rejuvenation program 8 years ago to bring these very large, old trees back into production by grafting them with modern varieties. I have started to plant out the empty spaces between these trees to increase the yield even further. I attended last year's CAI Annual General Meeting and found a welcoming, vibrant and eclectic bunch of chestnut growers. I am truly excited about my new role on the Committee and look forward to meeting as many members as I can on an individual basis. I am proud to now be a member of the CAI Executive and hope I can utilize some of my business expertise to the benefit of all members and the industry as a whole.
